Gold jewelry as a confirmation gift

If you want to give a confirmation gift that is more lasting than the latest phone, sneakers, or similar, gold jewelry is worth considering. A necklace with a pendant in recycled gold could potentially become a piece of jewelry with meaning for the confirmand for the rest of their life.

Regardless of gender, a piece of jewelry in 14 or 18 carat recycled gold is an investment that the confirmand can enjoy for many years to come. Especially if the design is timeless and can be worn through life's different stages.

There are many different gold-plated jewelry options as gift ideas for the confirmand, and although many choose to buy these, I believe it is a more sustainable choice to buy a piece of jewelry in solid gold, e.g., with a diamond, where the durability is far better than, for example, gold-plated silver, which quickly wears out and loses its appearance.

Price

If your budget for a confirmation gift is between DKK 1,600 - DKK 5,000, you can, for example, buy STEM RING, VIOLA STUD, STEM HOOPS, LEAF HOOPS, bracelets, or necklaces from me - the latter are made as custom orders.

Custom order

A custom order is a way to create a unique piece of jewelry that suits the confirmand, and where you, as the sender, can add an extra layer of meaning to the jewelry. This could, for example, be a pendant where a gemstone is chosen from the month the confirmand was born (birthstone: in January it is Garnet, April Diamond, and in May Emerald, just to name a few) or have a name, date, or something completely different engraved.

Design process for custom order.

If you think the confirmand should have a unique piece of jewelry, it's a good idea to order well in advance, as the process can easily span over two months.

Below you can read about the process:

1) We agree to meet either in Valby at my workshop or via video call.

2) Based on our conversation, I develop a wax model of the jewelry and send a video for approval.

3) The jewelry is cast, and I prepare the jewelry for pick-up (I grind and polish, possibly set stones or engrave).

4) The jewelry is picked up or sent as a registered package.

Feel free to check my page about unique jewelry and my current collection in the shop.

Hope this gives you some inspiration.

Best regards, Michell
