As one year ends and another begins, it's time to reflect on the moments, milestones, and stories that have shaped the year. For me, 2024 has been a year filled with development, new challenges, and unforgettable encounters with customers who have made Liljefelt Jewellery truly special.
Milestones in 2024
2024 began with an important milestone: I moved into my new showroom and workshop in Valby. It wasn't just a physical move, but a significant development for Liljefelt Jewellery. The opening of the showroom was a dream come true, and it has been fantastic to welcome customers into my creative universe, where they can experience the jewellery up close.
Another major change this year was going full-time with Liljefelt Jewellery. This has allowed me to focus all my energy on the jewellery – from design and production to customer meetings and bespoke orders. The result has been clear: this year, I have created many new unique pieces of jewellery for both new and returning customers. For the collection, I have designed and launched two new necklaces, two new earrings, and no less than five new rings, each telling a story and contributing to the Liljefelt universe.
The Stories Behind the Jewellery
My customers are a constant source of inspiration. Their wishes, needs, and stories are the foundation for many of the pieces of jewellery I create.
One of the most memorable assignments this year was a set of wedding rings for a couple who brought their grandmother's amber. It meant a great deal to them, and I shaped the amber to fit as stones in the rings, and the gold to match the amber. The result was personal jewellery with a story that now lives on in the next generation.
I have also created several unique engagement rings this year. One of them was for a woman who has followed Liljefelt Jewellery since the beginning. Her husband came in and asked me to design the ring with a specially selected diamond – a task that was both touching and inspiring.
Another memorable project was transforming old jewellery into something new. For example, I made two new rings from an old ring, which was a gift from an aunt. Seeing how these pieces of jewellery were given new life has been a great joy for me.
A New Visual Identity
2024 has also been the year where Liljefelt Jewellery's visual identity has become even clearer. I have worked closely with skilled collaborators who have helped experiment and create images and material that reflect the jewellery and its aesthetics.
The images capture the stories and emotions behind each piece of jewellery. From the details in a ring to the atmosphere in a shoot – I feel that Liljefelt Jewellery has now found its visual home.
A Look Towards 2025
I look forward to an exciting year where I can build on the values and projects that have characterized 2024. One of the highlights will be the launch of a new engagement ring with a 0.60 carat diamond. The design is inspired by soft, organic forms, drawn from nature – from tree rings in trunks to the undulating leaves of an oak tree.
In addition, I look forward to exploring new themes and collaborations. One of the upcoming projects is a photoshoot focusing on the atmosphere before a wedding – the morning when anticipation and love fill the room.
Values for the Future
In 2025, I will carry with me values such as presence and meticulousness. These values are at the core of Liljefelt Jewellery – from the design process to the conversations I have with my customers. Each piece of jewellery should be more than just an object; it should be a story, a memory, and a design that encompasses both craftsmanship and emotions.
