Many of the customers who find their way to Liljefelt Jewellery – often via Instagram or the showroom in Valby – are looking for something different from the mass-produced and perfect. They want a piece of jewelry that feels personal, sensory, and themselves. Here, I find that many are drawn to chunky rings and organic shapes, where the material has been allowed to live.
But it's not the case that you have to be into chunky to find something with me. Quite the opposite.
I design and make jewelry across the spectrum – from the very classic and simple to the more raw and organic. Many of my customers initially think they are "classic types," but discover along the way that they want a bit more life in the surface. This could be a soft edge, an imperfect texture, or a slightly heavier shape. Others know from the start that they are looking for a chunky engagement ring or a more substantial piece of jewelry with meaning.
Regardless of where you are on the scale, it's important to me that the piece of jewelry you end up with feels right – and that it is made with presence and care.
Jewelry made here in Denmark
Many classic jewelry pieces found in stores and chains are designed in one place and produced in a completely different place – often far away. At Liljefelt, the entire process takes place in Denmark. I personally shape the jewelry in wax in my workshop in Valby. They are cast at a Danish foundry and have stones set and any engraving done by skilled craftsmen in the inner city.
This means that you can be involved every step of the way – and that you get a piece of jewelry made specifically for you, with your choices and wishes at the center.
